Banning the Blemishes!

Laura Iriarte/ Jul 01 10

We’ve all had them – blemishes, pimples, zits.

Let’s take a look at:

* what they are
* different types of blemishes
* what causes them
* how to get rid of them quickly
* and how to prevent them

What are they? Your skin is comprised of a dermis or outer layer of skin, and the dermis contains many pores. The pores provide oil or lubrication to the skin to protect it. Blemishes are caused when bacteria invade the pore and multiply causing the pore to swell, forming a bump, and often turning red from irritation and sometimes infection.

Most of you know that I’ve been writing on skincare and beauty for St. Ives for the last year. I’m going to start linking to my articles here for those of you that have missed them! :) Find my author bio here.

I’ve been consistent, I’ve been inconsistent, I know what I’m talking about here, and there is a *lot* to be said for consistency!

Trendy Lime’s SATC Party & Premiere Posted by Laura Iriarte

May 27, 2010 – Trendy Lime’s latest event was the biggest girl’s night out party I’ve ever seen!

I went with my newly engaged friend Alexandra Kieser(@viva_voce), who was sporting her sparkling engagement ring!

We arrived at Circa nighclub and were greeted at the door by Liana Burtsava who was wearing the tiniest most adorable dress! She gave us a goodie bag and a drink ticket to get us started.

All the ladies were dressed from head-to toe, especially the toes~the shoes I saw that night were amazing!

Inside Circa we were treated with specialty drinks, a menu created just for our event! TV screens located everywhere played episodes of Sex and the City. Upstairs were mini makeovers or touch ups by BellaPelle Skin Studio (I desperately needed some loose powder!), and hand massages by Jurlique, featuring all natural skin products from Austrailia.

After we partied and were pampered we headed down the street a couple of blocks to the Lee Neighborhood Theatre where we watched Sex and the City 2.

The movie was, to quote my friend Mary Ann(@xluck), “exactly what it should be- ridiculous, indulgent, fun!!”

Trendy Lime‘s next upcoming event is JegLag on June 11, 2010.

And, if you saw the movie, I would love to hear your opinion below in the comment section!
