Amanda Beard, a gold medal winner seven times over, also a former world’s record holder in the Women’s Breaststroke is likely to be the subject of a lot of jokes, but she doesn’t care. Amanda posed nude for a poster for PETA—People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals—joining many other caring celebrities who have gotten naked for the cause. In addition, Amanda walked outside the Olympic village at the 2008 Beijing Olympics on August 6, 2008 and spent ten minutes with the media unveiling the poster and posing for pictures beside it before returning.
