Just a quick note to my subscribers! I know I haven’t been blogging much lately as it is, but I DO plan to! I actually have a LOT of updating I need to do for this blog. :)

My site was hacked or had a virus recently. I’m not totally sure how it happened, but I’m a bit suspicious of one of the subscription options I had on the site previously. I’m going to delete all of those subscribers in the next couple of days. Please re-subscribe by email through Feedburner if you would still like to follow my blog. Hope you will!

Thanks,

~Laura

Twestival Twitterers Unite for Charity Posted by Laura Iriarte

On March 25, 2010, in over 200 major cities worldwide, twitterers will hold Twestivals to use the power of social media to raise money for charity and make the world a better place.

All profits from Twestival are benefitting Concern Worldwide (http://concernusa.org), an international humanitarian organization transforming the lives of the world’s poorest, most marginalized children through access to education.

San Francisco will hold its very own Twestival, TwestivalSF will be held at the Horizon Lounge on 498 Broadway Street from 6:00–11:00 P.M.

How can you help? Lots of ways! Buy a ticket to TwestivalSF or make a donation if you can’t attend at: http://sanfrancisco.twestival.com/ . Buy a t-shirt or bid on auction items, including items donated by Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber, Imogen Heap, Alyssa Milano, Jamie Oliver, The Veronicas, the Counting Crows and more on the global website: http://twestival.org

As one of the organizers of this event I can tell you it will rock! Don’t miss it! Meet me there! Seriously people, there is no where in San Francisco that you can go and have this much fun and meet this many cool people for only $15! Go register for your ticket now, don’t be left crying on the curb! http://sanfrancisco.twestival.com/

BIG Announcement #1 Posted by Laura Iriarte

St. Ives product samples
I have a new job! Starting January 2010 I will be writing 2 articles a month as an independent contractor to be published on the St. Ives website! I signed a one-year contract. The first two articles are about cleansing your skin and choosing a foundation. In my past life I spent 20 years as a professional skincare and beauty consultant.

Funny how it all happened really, they contacted me! I am guessing that they found my blog about my love for their Apricot Scrub! Then, about a month ago, I got an email from them asking me if I would be interested in writing for them. They asked me to “audition” by writing an article on green tea. I did, and then they told me that I had the job!

Today a large and extremely heavy box was delivered to my door containing their whole product line! I’m already a huge fan of the St. Ives Apricot Scrub (I use it every day in the shower), and now I can’t wait to try the rest of their products!

The first two articles are done and awaiting publication! I will definitely let you know and provide links when the articles are published!

Now, I have no idea what to try tonight when I wash my face before bed!?!
